Time to finally start Children of Dune!

Finished Dune Messiah. Definitely not as good as Dune. I really, really like the tragic story of the Atreides, but for some reason I didn't enjoy the journey as much as in the first book. Maybe it's just Dune overload.

Just finished Dune. It is everything I expected from Asimov's Foundation and didn't get. It's the true sci-fi epic. I'm letting some things slide because of its utter brilliance and innovation, but I'm giving it 5* knowing full well it has defects from a 21st-century vantage point.
