The correspondence between Rashid and Outlaw alone makes this a very worthwhile read. Rashid gives some great and concise explanations and examples of revolutionary theory, class analysis, etc, which are useful references to people in a similar position of discussing these topics with budding revolutionaries.

Great foreword by Russell Maroon Shoatz tracing the rough histories of the main strains of the Black liberation movement, how they developed independently, and how they intersect. The autobiographical piece that kicks the book off proper is tense and gripping, and lets Rashid give a picture of who he was before politicization, which enriches his political writings in hindsight.
