Harry walked behind Dudley and his gang knowing uncle Vernon would get him in trouble if Dudley got home before him; he watched as Dudley said goodbye to his gang. they walked the rest of the way home as Harry just annoyed Dudley, finding it amusing. Although Dudley didn’t. Dudley then mentioned how Harry would talk in his sleep as he had nightmares about being in the cemetery. Harry almost attacked Dudley.

Harry had been able to use the patronus charm to scare off the dementors when Mrs. Figg ran into the alleyway. Harry had found out that Mrs. Figg was a squib. Someone who came from a family of magic but aren’t able to do magic themselves. They walked home and when they neared it, the person who was supposed to be taking care of Harry, Mundungus Fletcher, finally appeared.

As Dudley and Harry were walking through an alleyway on their way home, and they encountered a dementor. Harry tried to use the patronus charm but it didn’t work until he thought about Ron and Hermione.

Harry walked to the park as he thought about how Hermione and Ron hanging out without him and being mad because they won’t tell him anything. They told him their letters to him were limited and they weren’t allowed to talk about anything. While at the park, he saw Dudley and his gang walking home past the park, and fought the urge to call them over knowing Dudley was scared to mess with him.

There was an explosion right outside the Dursley’s home which attracted Vernon and Petunia’s attention. They checked outside just as Harry had gotten out from under the window with his wand out. Vernon warned him about not having his wand out and not believing when Harry had told him he was under the window to just hear the news. He left as his aunt and uncle were yelling at him.

The book starts on Privet Drive and how there was adroitly so most of the house didn’t look as “perfect” as they usually do; Harry is on a flower bed right outside the Dursley’s home, hiding as he listened to the news from outside; we learned that Dudley never really spent time at home, and unknown to his parents, he spends time with his friends smoking and throwing rocks at kids.
