This was a good read indeed! The description of the coastal village up the coast from New York was so vivid I felt as if I had visited, all those years ago. I looked it up on Google Earth and then read about the district on Wikipedia and other internet spots. The story changed emphasis and location midway through the book, which put me off for a while, but soon the narrative drew me back. Excellent read- engrossing!
