The plot definitely picked up around the 65% mark but hell if I’m not irritated by the Fmc! Complaining about being stuck between the city and her home, her love for the Mmc and her pseudo mother… blah blah blah! The guardian told you to “not bother coming home”, so that should put an end to your waffling then and there! Sheesh 🙄

I’m almost tempted to shelve this for now… there are a few books I am more interested in reading, but that isn’t a good enough reason to stop. It’s a decent book so far but, unless the ending really makes it worthwhile, I don’t think I would want to reread this book in order to finish it. Seems like a one-and-done kind of read
