Ellie, don't go saying things like that because you'll jinx yourself. I swear half of my latest failures have updates at the beginning about me loving the stories... only for them to turn into the floppiest of flops. But again, at least the page lenght is shorter!
I agree about this contemporary books being too long ban. I feel like anything over 250 pages for a regular contemporary book just drags and drags for so long that I start disliking the story because it's just way too long lol
