I'm really struggling to get through this book. It is so sluggish and the author often gets in her own way. So much of this book is telling, and over worked prose. Like the book wants to be the kind of thing you throw quotes from offhandedly. I think at it's core the story is interesting however the execution is terrible. Mare as a protagonists is too much. Her thoughts often ramble and are the same thing over and ov
