Just finished it. I loved the premise, adore both love interests as well despite the romance kinda dragging in the first half. I've had troubles with both characters being a lot in their head. :/ I would have loved more dialogues and things happening between them. Then when things start to get interesting between them... it's the end of the book with an epilogue several years later. I feel pretty bummed to be honest.

T. Rosado I keep meaning to read her MC books, but haven't jumped in yet. I think I've let my disappointment in her first Sawtooth Mountain book sway me. It seems her books are inconsistent with many readers.

T. Rosado I also noticed she's starting to publish faster. I wonder if that's a factor?

I LOVED her Signal Bend series, that's probably one if not my favorite MC romance out there. Great plot, character development on point, emotions running high and just gritty enough. That being said, I know many readers left the boat and got burned after the author killed one of the heroes from a previous book (tragically and also in such a graphic manner, a character had his HEA but you kill him in the next book?) in book 5 or 6? Let's just say it was pretty traumatic and I was hesitant to try anything else from her after this.

I've tried her Pagano series but it didn't gel with me.
Tried the Socal Night Horde series but coudln't get into it.
I thought maybe a contemporary from her— a rockstar romance, would be the perfect occasion to get reacquainted with Fanetti, especially considering my current reading mood, I need lighter reads. Unfortunately, the writing style was hard to get into for some reason. The pace was off.

I would still highly recommend her Signal Bend series if you wanted to read something solid from her. (MC romance is not a fave subgenre of mine but she absolutely made me love it)

MC isn't a favorite of mine either. I've really only read Kristen Ashley, but I think of those as MC-light, similar to her fantasy-light.😁

Your encouragement is exactly what I needed for the Signal Bend series. I've had other people rec it to me, but not with your details. I'd heard about the killing off of favorite characters. That might be another reason why I've held off. I like to go in blind, but not be blind-sided. If that makes any kind of sense.

T. Rosado I'll add, even though I've gotten a little exhausted with Kristen Ashley, I love the kind of development and detail we get in her books. That's what I was hoping for when I read Fanetti's Somewhere. There were hints of it, but ultimately it fell flat by the end.
