why is emil thinking he doesn't recognize laila/doesn't know her name? didn't he say out loud to someone earlier that he knew her by reputation? (runs a kindle search) yeah that was his pov. (he does recognize her a couple of page flips later BUT this still seems like an error? i am genuinely reading for the plot at this point bc the romance is forced af, don't do this to me, lax editing)

i'm still not in the mood for romance (the genre), ig :/ all i could think of during this ill-timed sex scene was 'PLEASE wash your hands before you go sticking them unprompted in people's mouths'. or like. talk about the near death experience you just had? that would be plot or sensible so i guess we can't possibly have that. but can we have some hand sanitizer at least
