The research that went into this book is brilliant and recreates that era and those personalities. Knowing that a pair of shoes were purchased ($2000 back in the 90s!) simply because it was what the character in the novel wore is insightful--knowing this kind of detail is something the audience would ever see or appreciate is telling. I'm curious to see how this wraps up.
