First, I was amazed to discover that this has been out for some time; I was watching for it under a different title, perhaps an old working title, so I didn't know it had been released.
Second, there's usually a fine line between fantasy and science fiction - but this feels like the reader has crossed a chasm, well into sci-fi - of which I am only rarely a fan.
