Keyboard finally arrived yesterday and, if not for work, I wouldn't have been able to peel myself away, which is probably a good thing because the 6 week challenge has become more like a 3 week challenge! 😅

Have to pause this for a couple of weeks, until my proper keyboard comes in. I thought I could get away with my little 2 Octave MIDI keyboard in the meantime but it really doesn't cut it when trying to associate the notes on sheet to their key location. I'll still aim for the "6 weeks and you can play Bach" challenge from the date that I 'Started Reading'.

Thanks Fereshte, and likewise to you! How awesome that you started playing guitar, I have been playing guitar for some years now but only ever read off tablature and never learned music theory. I want to rectify that and thought I'd give it a go on a different instrument. A hell of a lot of fun so far, can't believe I didn't start earlier! :)P.s. Start a Goodreads band? 😂
Up to the 10th bar (of 35), Jo! Feels good stringing so many notes together after such a short time. Obviously, I'll have to learn properly after doing this but it's a cool little exercise for putting a song on the repertoire before you even (really) know what you're doing. :)

It's great fun, Katie! Rhodes does such a great job of walking you through, first a wee bit of music theory and then, the piece itself. He tells you just the right amount to help you out while still making you work the notes out yourself from the sheet music. Do you play an instrument?
