I'll be blunt: this book is hard to get through. Lots of stops and starts. Lots of staring into space contemplating the evil that led to the Holocaust. Lots of googling details to verify them and wishing I hadn't. Lots of scary comparisons between the early Nazi government and current events throughout our world.
I didn't live through WWII, so I'm glad I read this book. I can't plead ignorance of evil.

I didn't think it was possible to make the deliberate extermination of a people group WORSE, but what the Nazis did was orders of magnitude worse than what I thought I knew.
