This is already feeling like it's going to be a bit of a slog. The characters don't even feel like the same ones I met in the first book. They just feel...off now that the romance has kicked up a notch.

I liked this one. And love Nik and Sashka together. But the way they finally confessed how they felt felt a little flat. Like, in book two you get all that intensity with Nik searching and killing for Sasha... but here there wasn’t any climax to their first time confronting their feelings 🤷🏽♀️. I liked it, there are some very sweet moments between the two. But something was off to me too.

It was definitely a let down after all that build up. Like, why put it at the beginning of the book?? It should have been right after Nik saved Sasha, or the author should have let the UST build up towards the end of this book. This series needs so.much.editing.
Oh, yes. She creates excellent characters but sometimes the way things are unraveled isn’t the best for me. For example the story with Trina and the cop (I don’t remember his name🙈). I can’t feel their love story. And at first I didn’t care too much about the cop/ex boxer (who I still can’t remember the name🙈🙈). But then he really won me over. He is so funny and has absolutely no filter 😂. I would have love for their story to be more.But! So far Drake Chronicles is for me a 5star rating through and through. And I really like most of the books I’ve read of her…. So I’m just being very demanding

LOL! Yes, it's Lanny. And I agree about him and Trina. Lots of telling about how much they care for each other but not a lot of showing.
I did enjoy the Drake Chronicles. The character development and editing is much better.
