They've had maybe one conversation before now and this is morning after talk. And I'm still giggling about how that came about!
Also who talks like this? Especially pre-coffee.

Why is the police(?) detective talking to Brick? And were we that desperate for suspects? It's pretty clear who the bad guy is, guessed at first mention of the person.

'is someone trying to kill me?'
Nooooo sweetie, why would you think that? You a clever CEO that just had a car speed directly towards you in a parking garage. After a litany of other offpage unspecified accidents.

Writing is simple, descriptions lacking (just learnt mc has dark hair), characters seriously undeveloped and the whole plot reads immature; no tension of any kind. Dialogue reads unnatural.
They (mc and friend) are navy SEALS and one is big, this gets mentioned nearly every page.

So far four characters mentioned or on-page who clearly have/will have their own books. They're all handsome and clever and wonderful.
