Anything! Just let it shock me, beat me, make me FEEEL...gah! I'm just so bored ...I must have picked up a dozen books and I just keep putting em down :(
I hate those moments. Have you read Probation, Objects in the Rearview Mirror, Thick as Thieves or Another Enchanted April?
LOL @ the first line of Thick as Thieves:After Vorgell the barbarian fucks himself with a unicorn horn - I had to read that bit twice!Objects in the rearview mirror certainly sounds different...
I'm going to try a few samples. Thanks for this Ann ;)
Absolutely! Those were all that I remember being not what I expected when I started and I loved them all for different reasons. I hope you find one that breaks the slump! Also, Vorgell is MADE of awesome ;).

It's what I do whenever I start to feel bored by the same old same old storylines. I pick up a murder mystery or some historical fiction or just something different.
Sometimes I think about taking a break, but then I get nervous I'll never come back, then I wont have a hobby. But in reality, a break is probably good.
If you are in the mood for a smutty dark read (ie dark duet-ish) my I suggest..
..its definitely different and not for everyone though.

Do a personal challenge like me, Shels. Going for genre you never read. YA for example. Although I probably am not the best person to help since I'm taking a break from MM for the time being.
