Interested enough to read more than the sample, but unsure if I'm actually enjoying this? I find the prose really awkward, and I'm not a fan for using first person narration in this case. Hoping everything will click into place for me and this will go more smoothly.

I hope so, too, Amanda. I ended up liking it -- even with its problems -- but I totally get why others didn't.
