Junta I was impressed with the economy of Flaubert going through Charbovari's younger years, including the marriage to Heloise. How are you finding the bilingual reading?

Yes, that went pretty quickly. :P I guess not even Flaubert wanted to talk about Heloise that much. As I said earlier, I'm reading it in Spanish. But, from time to time, I pick some passages to read in both languages. I'll let you know if I find more differences between both editions. And I'll keep comparing your updates with my English edition.
