I listen to audio books to go to sleep with. It usually works pretty well for me. However, while the narrator is good - he does shout into the mic to add feeling and emphasis to the dialogue and what's happening. Probably not the greatest audio book as a bed time story. Shall see if I choose to continue.

Stephanie I would say it's not a bedtime book in general.

Thanks, Stephanie. I listen to other books in this genre at bedtime. I need my brain to be somewhat engaged in something (guided meditations don't work so well any more) that I can pay attention to. I actually do fall asleep after a while. Sometimes within 5-10 minutes. I usually go for a cozy mystery for this, although - for instance - listened to entire series by Robert Rotenberg at bedtime. However, sometimes Rotenberg is so suspenseful that I want to listen longer ;-) And, I always have to rewind the next day ;-) I'm ok with the genre most of the time, but the yelling doesn't work well. ;-) Do you ever listen to an audio-book to fall asleep to?

I may request it again at another time. Maybe when I'm listening to audio-books during daytime...which I anticipate in winter months.
