Every page is an accomplishment--difficult but very rewarded. Or not difficult but as I keep saying so dense it sends me off into my own mind.

My progress is slow because this book is dense, intense, and powerful. I take time to look at its relationship to my prayer, for any insights it gives me and when I pray to think about the book, to see how my prayer life reflects what I've been reading.

Even the footnotes are necessary and very helpful.

Riveting. My progress is very slow as I stop after almost every sentence to unpack its meaning and its implications for myself.

The first chapter was riveting. This is not a fast read for me; even though it's a short book, I can see it's going to take me a while. I'm having trouble not underlining every sentence!
