so now we are fully in the non con territory. i love dark romances and fucked up main characters, but i need that to fit the vibe of the story. right now it doesn't feel like the author is going for dark but rather expecting the reader to see roman as sympathetic. idk? might be wrong, maybe roman will soon look himself in the mirror and realize he's worse than his dad.

and now we have the 'he-is-violent-but-that's-okay-because-his-dad-is-violent' plot going on. big part of why i picked up this book was the hope of reading some good groveling, but the way thing are going, i wouldn't be surprised if it's jonah who ends up apologizing for not understanding poor, tormented roman.

seriously, how many times can i manage to pick up these books where mothers use their sons as human shields? one of my biggest pet peeves.
