let's face it, this book is bad. like really bad. no offence tot he author but there is no romance, the "plot" is nonsensical and the writing is terrible.

i'm not sure if i've read any high school m/m romance by a dominantly m/f author without m/f sex scenes. i wonder if they casually throw in gay sex in their m/f books as well. what irks me is that it's clearly there to show us that though this guy is fucking a dude, he's still a man, cause he fucks women as well.

i don't remember ever before coming across this in a book, but when callie uses the phrase better the devil you know than the devil you don't to describe the head space of kid with issues at home, literally what some kids do think. here, i have to say that the author got it.

seriously, how many times can i manage to pick up these books where mothers use their sons as human shields? one of my biggest pet peeves.

at this point, i'm liking the story fine and both justin and wes are sweethearts, but honestly, 195 in and about 90 of them could have been cut.

I hate to be mean, but it is truly baffling to me how poorly written this book is. I have no clue what is going on, I can't make sense of any of the characters and none of them have any personality!

i very rarely get upset if what i'm reading isn't realistic, but this just makes me roll my eyes. minna cuffing her best friend to a bed for detox is shit that only women can do in books, 'cause were so sassy and cute! not to mention, if that was how addiction worked, then fucking hell would life be simple. minna doesn't sound like a good friend, she sounds like an imbecile. A dangerous imbecile.

I'm now trying the method of taking notes as I, maybe then I'll be able to write a more coherent review. At the moment I feel like the author is living inside their head a bit. The writing could be crisper and their actions and reaction might feel less odd if their feelings were more clear. Now the story feels choppy and the MCs both act irrationally.

Oh no. I'm watching Poirot while reading and both Kelly and Hatings are goodlording. Hope I won't be seeing Kelly as Hastings for the rest of the book. Other than that, a very promising start.

Off to a good start, might end up being my favorite in this series. My one complaint is that like another story by the author, Top Me Maybe, this has a bit of a preachy tone at poins. Bisexuality is a thing, yes. This I know. Even if you are in a relationship with someone of the same gender you can still be bi. Yes, I know.

Well, apparently I'm not liking any books at the moment. Or, rather, the book is going fine, but I'm disliking Alex very much. He's not a complete prick (more often than not I love MCs who are), he's just unpleasant and apparently that is making him a badass.

I can't believe it's taking me this long to read a book. I'm trying to enjoy reading it and I'm just not.

I'm struggling with this one so much right now. If Kaden ends up being some kind of a natural horse whisperer I don't know what to say. We shall see. Also, is there sotemthing wrong with Logan's vocal chords? He rasping and speaks huskily so much that I'm beginning to worry about him.
