Alright, no. “Sweet boy I’d lost”?? Guy was the same age as you. He died a year ago?? That’s how you’d describe losing a kid. Or watching someone you know much younger than you go through something traumatic that changes them.

Here’s the thing, when you tiptoe around past trauma for so long, constantly hinting but never saying, it turns out nine times out of ten to not be nearly as traumatic as you expect. And that’s deeply aggravating. Just tell us so we can move on and not be disappointed but the underwhelming reveal.
