So I finally ventured into this book and I have to say, the introduction was almost enough to change my mind and discard the book. *sighs*
It's pseudo-intellectual nonsense that was extremely dry (ironic, considering the story is told by an ocean-dweller), either coincidentally or by design.

I can only hope the rest of the book will be more entertaining.

Trish The introduction, amongst MANY other things, speaks of intelligence and the human brain vs that of other species. It is true that we've made some great discoveries recently that have proven what I've been saying since I was a child: plants are intelligent and communicate, animals aren't dumb and humans aren't "the crown of creation".
That being said, I really see no point to the boring rambling I just had to go through, the author even made the linguistic explanations almost put me to sleep! *lol*
