The writing is good, easy to read and engaging. But so far I’m bored of the story. Five chapters in and nothing has happened yet except attractive girl meets attractive guy. Need more to keep me interested.

Lots of romance, lots of sex, lots of passion, and this part is good so far, but there is not much else at the moment. Hoping for some conflict soon to make the story more exciting. Also hoping for some repercussions of Rory’s lifestyle. I’m massively jealous that she can eat so much junk food and is a model 😂

First impressions: the author has EXCELLENT descriptive skills. I can see the characters. It’s more than I usually like but it is very well done, little bits fed in to make a picture rather than huge a info dump.

Can I ask why you are bored of the story? It's obviously a book where an attractive girl meets an attractive guy. Its a bit offensive that you say it needs more to keep you interested

I’m sorry if you feel my opinion is offensive. I’m not sure why someone having a personal opinion on a book offends you, but my right to express a simple opinion was never meant to offend. All I am saying here, is that for me personally, more is needed to keep me interested in the story and so far, I’m bored. As stated above, the writing is good, and if you read my other update, I mentioned the descriptions the author gives are fantastic. I’m not bashing the book, I’m simply saying perhaps the book simply isn’t for me. Not every book is going to interest every person, but me being able to express that the book doesn’t peak my interest shouldn’t really upset anybody.
Isn’t the whole point of Goodreads to express what you like and what you don’t like in a book? Or do I have the wrong idea about this site. Am I only supposed to like the things you like so I do t offend you?
I didn't mean to start an argument with you by asking why you are bored of it but don't you think saying that would hurt an author especially one who has (presumably) given you this book to review and has published this herself. From the looks of your account you don't read romance books so why pick up this one if you know it is not going to be for you? Im not trying to say you aren't allowed an opinion and I get that you dislike it but maybe say more you like about the book that saying you are bored
I don’t write reviews on chapter five. I write thoughts that I have about the book as I read it to help me give a full and honest review at the end of the book. I can’t say more about what I like about the book at the moment, as I’ve really only just started it and this is more or less a first impression. I’m relatively new to goodreads, I read a lot and read a very wide variety of genres, but I don’t write reviews on here often. I was not given this book, I downloaded it by choice. And at the end of the book I hope to have a full and well rounded view of the book as a whole- but these little snippets at various intervals help me to remember what I liked and why I didn’t like about the book. As stated before- the writing is fantastic, the descriptions are phenomenal, but SO FAR the story isn’t interesting to me. Im not sure how else I could have phrased this better.
