Interesting chapter on freedom. Not sure he pulls it all together though. Have to think more about this.

Discussion of restraining governmental power was weaker than other topics. Why? To what extent? How, exactly, do families and faith restrain govt?

Somewhat vague chapter on solidarity. Solidarity is good, it’s linked to patriotism, but Reno doesn’t get much further.

Reno makes the very important point that the sexual and moral revolution have harmed the working-class and poor while serving the whims and self-indulgence of the wealthy and powerful.

Rusty Reno puts a lot of emphasis on legitimate authority defined as authority freely consented to. This seems wrong - and a prototypically American error.
