As good as this book is in many cases (e.g. some muslim vampires have the fortitude to rise during the day to do the daily prayers and often vampires being so dependent on their prayers that they do them before subduing their prey or when not being able to perform them they become even morae erraditic); but the book has a mayor flaw: how it treats the "pagan" version of this road. It treats it as one single faith.

These paragons were ok, maybe a bit too nice for a horror game line.

I liked those merits and flaws (e.g. holy blood or an even deeper curse, wounds that heal faster then normal when done via flaggelation etc.). The archetypes and concepts they showed were nice and I wonder what the paragons now will be. This Lioness of Jerusalem sounds interesting but I wonder why they left certain stuff out in her passage, maybe because they had mentioned her so often in the book before.

Hurting someone with burning inner pain by just making eye contact, shrugging of wounds, making others follow your own philosophy and blood sorcery that makes others experience the affects of vampirism.

The new information on character creation, society of the Faithful, the paths of the Road and disciplines are really interesting and thought provoking. And maybe that is a problem: It makes you hunger for more, e.g. how would a faithful vampire interpret the power of fleshcrafting? Or the supernatural claws of protean? As a sign of the devil or as a further tool by God since these claws are more potent than swords?

They have been able to somewhat fic the whole Pagan topic here, I like how the system of the roads work (congregations, priests etc.), the short entry towards the other main roads and the high and low clans (e.g. the horrifying Nosferatur often became especially devout) and their holy sites are interesting, e.g. one is a drowned castle in Scottland and another might not even exist as an actual place.

They truly put some effort into this relatively small book, even down to the congergations and as to why all three abrahamitic and other faiths are found on the Road of Heaven (it basically predates Judaism), but I think it borrows a tad to much from catholicism and I think the whole concept here doesn't really fit with the limited number of vampire generations of this book. But for vampires in general this is good.

Oh come on. The chapter was taking itself so seriously so far and after all the basic gospels of the faithful and the comments on them, they pull this stunt and let the saracen only tell the vampire crusader that there is a place for him? I hope this will be continued later.

There has definitely been put some thoughts into this. Based on the commentaries to the Gospel texts there are now at least three different branches of this vampiric faith and the third seems to be considered heresy. As the cover suggests this borrows from Christian faith and the takes on vampirism and its relevance to God are interesting.

I see already two different paths here in the comments below the "Gospel": one that says that the vampiric nature is basically the voice of Satan and the other is that said nature is the will of God and their powers and all is what makes them divine beings. Both paths have their point in this regard however.

Interesting, the authors have it so that we see the text of the gospel, below the commentaries on it and from time to time the Crusader and Saracen from the intro speak. Apparently the Saracen is reading the book as we read it. So far they had the first days of the vampires, the first city they built, the deluge and the second city. Now it seems they come to their Faith.
