Wu's family achieves what they want by stepping out of the box while Wu is still stuck with this dream of becoming kung fu man.

This gets even more interesting. Flipping the script, telling the backstory, destroying the stereotypes and bad narratives. It's so creative in every sense of the word.

Wow, I didn’t expect to like this novel so much. Very biting commentary on Asian stereotypes and roles in film. Interesting format and very creative and experimental. I’m able to discern it because I’m familiar with the screenplay format. It’s so clever in that way.

Flipping through the pages, I was able to discern that the author is perhaps emulating the screenplay format. That made me excited because I love reading screenplays. This makes the title interesting: Interior. Used to denote when a movie scene is inside a setting. Very curious about this novel.
