So this book is hilarious. Houdini is full of it.
Best bit so far has been Houdini talking shit about seances. ACD likes them. However Houdini continues to go to them to denounce people as being frauds. He tells ACD he has gone to 10,000 seances. ACD points out that would mean he has gone to one a day for the last 30 years... which Houdini has not.

So. Now that ACD has stopped crying about his strange friendship with Houdini, we are now into the bit where he talks about ghosts.
When did this man die and how old was he? Because I think he was going senile and just... needed an outlet for his rambling mind.
