The last story: The Bones Do Lie, goes back to the first one, where Chloe rules in a cavern while Time itself goes mad.
Like the first story, Chloe is quite wager to leave behind anyone who disagrees with her but, this time, it's one of her favourites who chooses to leave, rather than stay with her!

Story no: 14, Ladies in Waiting, tells of a widow with four children, who move into an old cottage that was part Norman tower, after her husband dies. The box room, the room above in the Tower section, has something wrong with it, that Amy can't see, touch, or sense, but she knows that, if she wishes for something in that room, it will be granted.
A rather creepy story, but good!

Story no: 13, Habit is an Old Horse, tells of Knock, a horse grown old in his rider's service. He goes to the fence to give his usual morning greeting, but she doesn't respond as usual. He stands all day, trying to get her attention, while people keep arriving with food, and comfort, but still she doesn't come.
I admit, this one had me in tears! A great story.

Story no: 12, Cinderella switch, has a mysterious girl crashing a Landing party. Three young men see her, and persuade her to dance with them but, at a particular time if the evening, she tries to sneak away, as her very unusual costume is about to lose power.
This is a fun take on the Cinderella story..

Story no : 11, Zulei, Grace, Nimshi, And The Damn Yankees, is a story of love, honour, pride, slavery, emancipation, and what wat brings to people who experience it.
This is a great story, and I loved where it went.

Story no: 9, A Quiet One, tells of Peri, a young girl, who has spent her whole life determined to work with horses in the Preserve. She defies her mother, & gets a job there, & is put through a gruelling trial, which she succeeds in!
A heartwarming story, which I enjoyed thoroughly!

Story no: 8, is The Greatest Love.

I've actually read this story in another book, though can't remember it's title, but I enjoyed reading it again here.

This is the story of a woman who wanted a child, but couldn't bring one to term, but her sister in law, who loved her brother and his wife dearly, volunteered to try the then unpracticed exogenesis on human beings.

This is a brilliant story! 💖

Story no:7, is, A Flock of Geese. It tells of a group of people, living in a cave, because it's the only spot in that area that is stable into the bedrock. The leader of the group is Chloe, a woman of the C18th, who can feel whenever a te loop is happening because, some time in the C25th somebody messed time up. Chloe tends to use people, and gets rid of those who don't suit her. An interesting story!

Story no:6 is, The Mandalay Cure. The troop carrier Mandalay, is having problems with the air filters, as the Marines being transferred from battle after battle, are so stressed that it's affecting the air. Then an officer comes up with a cure, that will, hopefully, get the men back to fighting fit once more.
I enjoyed reading this.

Story number 5: A Sleeping Humpty Dumpty Beauty, is set in the same world as the previous story, but is written about a MASH space ship, and a surgeon, Bardie, who puts back together one Lt Roger O'Hara. When he won't come out of the sleep he was put in, to be operated on, she wakes him rather unconventionally, with a kiss. This was a short and sweet story.
