He brought a seamstress along, but they can't just make shit out of thin air. They need a sewing machine, materials, etc. Not to mention she makes 10+ outfits in mere hours. But fuck any kind of logic, I guess. Also, he makes Jax wear a joke outfit. Pretty shitty thing for a 'best friend' to do.
I bet if you ctrl+F the book for the word entourage, you'd get close to triple digit hits, if not more. So much repetition.

The king is reluctant to arrest all the conspirators without proof, which the mc does not have for all of them. Checks out. But then he resets, does basically the same course of action, and then the king agrees? He didn't have any proof that time, either. But fuck it, you're at your word count goal, why bother having a proper conclusion, right? I hate that I want to keep reading these.

The mc learns that there will be an assassination attempt against 'his' women (because of course), but instead of trying to be proactive and find out how and when, he instead has sex with one of them while the other two go away, and then spends an entire day doing nothing. Good plan. He even sets a new save point while two of the women are away. What if they were killed, and he didn't know yet? Stupid.

The fact that he interrupted the show to learn from the wizards makes even less sense when you learn that he gets to conduct one-on-one interviews with all of them the next day. He could just learn from them then! Sure, the character doesn't know that, but the author does, and should know what makes more sense. Or maybe my suspicion that he writes this shit in one go without editing is true.

The mc interrupts a magic show to go learn from the different wizards, and everyone in the crowd is just ok with this and accepts it. Yeah, he resets afterwards, but it makes no sense that they'd allow him to do this in the moment. He even has to pledge allegiance to some tribe before learning one spell. Why does that person think that's totally normal and then divulges his secrets? So stupid.

The king's court wizard was poisoned recently, so both the king and the mc immediately jump to the conclusion that the roadside attack and the poisoning are obviously connected. What? Why? Two attacks that happened at different times via different methods in different locations, and you immediately assumed they're connected? Where is the logic in that? The mc doesn't even have any kind of relationship to the wizard.

I get that the constant talk of impregnating the wife is catering to a fetish. But how will it be handled once it happens? Is she just going to be sidelined for the rest of the series, first being pregnant then raising the child? Or will it only ever be teased over and over but never happen?

Random nighttime attack from cloaked figures that are unidentifiable. More shit straight out of D&D filler sessions.
Not sure what exactly the aim is in having a 15 year-old girl become a more prominent character... I guess it's heading for the adopted child angle, which would be another similarity with The Duelist. But she's not a child, yet not an adult... and it's a harem novel... precarious territory there.

Everything about the "tournament" was stupid. He needs to bring an entourage to the noble summit, so he... holds contests of coordination and strength? It's a fucking summit, he needs people with etiquette and social skills, not physical skills.
Just like The Duelist series, he's really pushing these fake 'friendships' with fellow men who are way too infatuated with him for no good reason. I don't get it.

The author described a fictional food being like a hot pocket. I was like ok, whatever, fantasy hot pocket, sure. But then I realized the name he gave them, kayso diya, is basically quesadilla spelled out phonetically. For one thing, that's stupid. But now I'm also irate at the mere idea that someone out there thinks a motherfucking quesadilla is similar to a hot pocket. WHO IS THIS PERSON?!

Skipping over potential sex scenes in one sentence is lame and lazy. I know this is the fifth installment so plenty has happened already, but that's half the point of reading these damn things.
Still very paint by numbers. Throw in a random goblin attack that can take up a chapter or two with resets to make it perfect. Adds nothing to the plot. Feels like a D&D session where the DM throws shit together to pass time.
