I read a lot of this one by just going with the flow. It still reminds me too much of Cradle, and there's lots of weird shit that I don't like in my stories. But I'm also rather curious about the world and where the mystery is going.

I feel like a lot of these plot points are just coming out of no where. Like the author had to shoehorn them in to fit the story he wants to write, rather than seeing where the story might go.

This book is so slow. I'm not sure why. It reminds me of the parts of Princess Mononoke that I didn't like, which is probably a part of that.

I'm finding the premise very interesting, though there are a few select issues I have with the writing. I don't like reading about bodily functions (like hearing about his mother farting in her sleep) and in a few ways it just feels immature. I hope it doesn't become much more, since I do wish to finish the story.
