This one is growing on me a lot but while I’m far younger than the protagonists, I’ve been thinking through a lot of similar stuff this past year and ha reading from a hospital bed so… bleak but oddly comforting.

Real people don’t talk like this. It absolutely bums me out when authors fail so badly at dialogue and this entire chapter is just dialogue. I’m sure there are people who wish or want to pretend they speak this way but no one actually does. At all. So ehhhh….
