Loving Ari’s character development sooooo much (he’s come such a long way 🥺), but I’m sad there’s not as much Dante in this as I’d hoped??? 😔 I’ll let y’all know how the second half goes, maybe it’ll change since there’s 500+ pages of content in total!

@Marci - I WAS MISTAKEN!! The first half has all the Dante while the second half requires a bit of squinting to find him apart from the very end 🤣 I still enjoyed it as a touching coming-of-age narrative, though I’m low key wondering how those who’ve waited years for this sequel to arrive feel since I was spared the looooong wait 👀

i am happy u enjoyed it!! 💗💗💗 that's such a good point! i read it in 2019 so i definitely had much less of a wait than others who read it when it first came out and i wonder which audiences will be happier with it!!

Yup the question that’s been swimming around my head since I put the book down! I think if I read it back when it first came out, a part of me would‘ve wanted to see Ari & Dante as full-fledged adults as if they grew up with me? Leaves room for another sequel though, if you catch my drift (totally not me being greedy at all, nope! 🙈😉). Guess we’ll be living on headcanons for the time being 🤣
