So all I knew was that this was a popular poetry book and that each poem was short. I thought it was going to be like atticus poetry, maybe some love poems, but I open the first page and it's about abuse and rape. It's beautifully written, but very heavy and upsetting to read. I wish I actually checked what it was about before I started reading
