I can see that “going postal” is not a modern phenomena. It amazes me how anyone could survive working inside such a maelstrom of malcontentment. The post office seems like a place designed to drive men mad. And how such a disorganized, booze soaked and hedonistic loafer like Bukowski survived it is beyond my capacity to understand.
