This is light and easy on the ear. I like the main character. I struggle with the use of Christian myth. I can live with the angels as a trope twist on Milton but it's the whole unknowable Father at the top of the hierarchy that I find hard to accept. I find the combination of omnipotent omniscience with complete a policy of non-intervention that's NOT indifference hard to think of as real.
