Oh, Adrien! All of the right questions are in your head. Now they need to come out of your mouth!

Completely agree! I really want Adrien to confront Jake directly about a major issue (the issue being a smirky person whose name starts with a P, ends with an L & involves a couple of vowels).

It's either love or obsession at this point...ok it's love -- Lanyon is just so good. Though I've slowed down a little because a) I'm afraid of what Lanyon's going to hit me with next. And b) I enjoy torturing myself.:)

I will get to the Holmes & Moriarty one in the near future. If you really want to torture yourself, I would recommend the "Johnnies" series by Amy Lane -- amazing.
I really like Holmes & Moriarty. I've got to reread those. I think the first book was my very first Lanyon. The third is supposed to be out this year -- though there isn't a release date yet.:(The thing is usually I do not like to torture myself. I like dark fiction, I do like dramatic stuff, but sometimes it gets a bit over the top. (Exes showing up with unknown children in tow, stuff like that.) I think I respond to the Adrien English series because the problems are so real.
Anyway, I do want to read Chase in Shadow, I've heard that that deals with some "real" problems as well. I planning on taking a weekend & just reading it straight through -- though I think I'll need to do some deep breathing exercises first. Maybe some yoga. (Ok, I don't really do yoga, though I really should. :)) They do call Amy Lane the tear or weep-reaper or something like that for a good reason!
I just went and one-clicked the first Holmes & Moriarty (who was I kidding anyway?). Chase in Shadow was really good but I liked Dex in Blue a bit better. Definitely "real" problems to deal with in this series. Amy Lane does know how to rip your guts out in the most wonderful way. I read The Locker Room earlier this year and gave it 5 stars (a rating I have only given to 2 other books this year). Happy reading!
