It doesn't even have an ending. He casts a spell for the first time, and then yep tune in next time. Then he begs for good reviews in the afterword. What a joke. (All these books ask for reviews, but this is the first time I've seen one of them actively ask for 4/5 star reviews.)
Meant to say this earlier, but I wonder how old this author is. No 20 year-olds were calling each other 'hon' in 2017. That's boomer shit.

There's a bit where Sean growls at the thought of Jolene being with another man, because she's "his" now. Then a few pages later, as a sex scene is starting (or I guess sex scene transition because still no actual sex) we are told how she's been with large men but not like Sean when he's in his werelion form. Fucking WHY put that in? Why do we need to know that? Especially after what was just said. Goddamn cucks.

1- Why the hell did you spell it Netflicks? lol. Possibly an autocorrect thing, but that just means you didn't proofread this.
2- That whole 'pay me any amount of money and then I'm your lawyer and bound by confidentiality' only works if the lawyer is offering that. You can't just shove $5 in their hand and they become your lawyer, they have to agree. Also, why bother? That lawyer can't do anything with that info.

This girl you've been in a "relationship" with for all of 4 days has been supportive? Better put a ring on her finger! Yeah, because that would be totally reasonable. Good advice, random friend. Then again, they are in Nevada...

Lmao, this author seriously labeled one of the magical councils as progressive so he could go on a thinly veiled rant about progressives. "...where they rule like kings while the rest of us devote our lives to letting them maintain that lifestyle." Yeah, ok, dude. Imagine complaining about progressives in a fucking harem novel. Even if I hadn't looked at his blog, I would be certain of his political alignment by now.

It only just dawned on me that the whole bit that happened earlier about the mall erupting into a massive firefight as random open carrying citizens fight the "terrorists" is some stupid gun nut's wet dream bullshit that would never actually happen. Really painting a more vivid picture about this author.
Randomly, the spelling of Roxy will switch to Roxie for a couple of paragraphs, and I have no idea why.

The sex scenes aren't even good. It basically just says 'sex happened' and has zero detail. What's the fun in that?
Why the hell does this keep mentioning Roxy's past lovers? Who the fuck wants to hear about your significant other's sexual history?

I made the mistake of looking at the author's blog. He's apparently an anti-vaxxer who claims he got COVID from a vaccinated person. It won't stop me from reading these books - I'm not one of those people who can't/refuse to separate art from artist. I'll read Ender's Game any day, doesn't mean I like the guy. But it does mean I'll feel a bit less bad if I find his writing to be shit. Which, so far, it kind of is.

If you were to show a photo of a girl you've been spending time with to a group of your nerdy college-age friends, I can assure you they would not reply with 'when can we meet her?' A man has been found dead, but the cops go visit the neighbor's son before searching the dead man's home? And so they don't find the dead bodies inside until the son is there? Yeah, ok. lol
This whole genre is wish fulfillment, and there's nothing wrong with that, but this book is pretty lame at it. 'OMG I never kissed a girl in public.' 'Well we better do it more then teehee.' Cringe.
