The writing feels cringey… and the perspective being from a small child is strange!! Lots of good potential with the governmental discourse. I have a feeling this book is going to feel like it would be better written in another style.

The writing feels very childish or inexperienced and I can't tell if it is done on purpose or not. If it is on purpose, I think it distracts wildly from the content. Sentences like 'my heart screams in excitement!' fill the entire novel and it seems very adolescent... The beginning of the book is from a 5-year-old's POV which I found odd.. but the writing made sense. But now the character is 22 acting the same??
