Kudos to the author for handling a horribly difficult subject matter with sensitivity and respect. I was riveted by those scenes and felt so much sympathy for Candace. I loved the slow build romance but somewhere along the way, there was too much filler. The BIG CONFLICT came too late in the story and there was no room to recover. Liked the final outcome but not the situations of the ending. 3 stars.
