Wow, that was unexpected. {Spoiler} I said I didn't like Catherine 🥲

{Spoiler} I don't like Catherine - for a noble lady she's snooping around too much.

I guessed the mystery!!!
Usually I can't guess anything, so that was not a compliment to the writing :(
Also there is no hints or false ones throughout the book, designed to trick you into being surprised by yet another info dump.
I don't like this style.

I was expecting a grand battle but.... only a little fight?

What was the purpose of Will and Catherine's "passionate kiss" if
Will will definitely end up with James?
Love triangle for the sake of love triangle? No one asked.

1/2 into the book and FINALLY smth interesting! James and Will interacting tete-a-tete.

Why are we having a whole chapter dedicated to Will flirting with Catherine if author screams everywhere that Will & James are the deal ?....
I'll answer why - to prologue the plot dragging.

Will = Timothée Chalamet, Violet = Zendaya. So far we've actually met James in person 2 times, so no actor for him.

Booooooring
No tension (like in Captive prince), no occasional comic relief, no interesting events....
Just narration drugging on and on...
Another disappointment in an author, after V. Schwab.
