So I get what the author is trying to do. Having this woman with a bad mother trying to throw shade that she may be unreliable but as someone with a bad mother it’s not working for me. I don’t question any of Blythe’s experiences so basically this book is not as interesting. I guess if you grew up with a healthy family you might question everything but I guess I just don’t.
