I think this one is my favorite of the set, between the depth of detail and plot, the wonderful panoply of different characters, and the quality of the writing!

Cersei reminds me very much of a person I knew who was very cunning in mean, hard ways - but very dumb about what was going on in a reality that wasn't colored by her darker dreams.

Jim Rittenhouse I like the detail Martin takes to his world; we're seeing new places, like Dorne, Braavos, details on the Ironborn and their weird customs/religion, more on the Rhoyne people and the Free Cities of Essos, and so on. It's also interesting to see all of the subtlest bits of business; someone who was a minor character in an earlier part showing up later in a different way in the side talk in a different character's POV chapter.
