I know how you feel! I lost a book in my own home months ago! I've looked everywhere for it. I know I lost it at home because I was reading it in the front room the night before it went missing. I was able to get another copy at the ubs for .50 but I lost a favorite bookmark! :)

I try never to get attached to a bookmark. They have wandering genes. I once laid my copy of the Odyssey down beside my bed. I was 3/4ths of the way done and never saw it again. That was 30 years ago and I still wonder where that book went.
Wow! Yes, well this was a Gena Showalter LOTU bookmark. :(
