They very helpful and valuable read overall. It really gives you a flavor for the culture in Jesus and the early church's day.
Though I did sometimes cringe when the bits about Pilate's life we know from the gospels were expanded on a bit too much. For example, the way the book made a big deal out of Pontius Pilate's statement "what is truth." Other parts fit a little too perfectly, like in Rogue One.
