So-so thus far. Much conjecture as to motives and personalities of folks without back-up. Definitely taking today's sensibilities and projecting them back almost 300 years. Also, so far where the author offers opinion on strategic military matters, he shows himself rather uninformed.

Still finding this author irritating. Filled with unsubstantiated claims and outright conjecture. In his discussion on Wolfe, he says that the general was no military genius. OK. Fine. But the proof he offers is that several of his initial attacks during the Quebec siege/campaign were repulsed. However, I suppose if I were a cheerleader for Wolfe, I'd respond that the general didn't stop there. He adapted. And won.
