Ugh there is much excessive use of analogies. How many ways does the author need to describe Tella’s smile in one page? “Likes hopes and dreams and wicked things,” “like shape cut glass” blah blah blah…
Also, why is it that when Tella and Scarlet meet, they don’t immediately explain what’s been happening for each of them and instead go all “just trust me sis.”
