All these assumptions and unsaid things, the properness and sensibility really does screw everyone over! So it's getting funny and now I'm interested in how it all will resolve... but at the same time poor girls man.

finished chpt17. Not sure at all where this story is going so far. I can foretell some storylines but then it's like what is this even about? why did Willoughby leave? also don't understand Marianne at all - is she engaged or not? why can't the mother or Elinor just ask? Why everyone assumes Elinor and Edward are engaged? too many whys at this point and so far i don't care for these characters yet. we'll see i guess.
