Hope Edelman came into my reading life today via Cheryl Strayed as I started smashing the delete button on email promoting Mother's Day. 47 pages of tears and recognition. Already shipped a copy to a dear friend who is also recently experiencing what Edelman has dubbed Mother Loss. Funny as the strains of the song, Motherless Child" have been rooted in my head all day like that accursed song, "it's a Small World."
